This program is ideal for teachers moving into an Early Childhood position:
- who have a current Georgia professional certificate in another field
- who do not need an advanced degree
- who are currently employed in a PreK-5 position in an elementary school

Overview
- One year clinical practice
- Job-embedded
- Assigned mentor and candidate support team (CST)
- Observations, mentoring, coursework, and portfolio

Application Requirements
- Current Georgia professional certificate
- Eligible for a Non-Renewable Professional teaching certificate in the field of Elementary Education
- Currently employed in a PreK-5 position in an elementary school
- Passing GACE scores (001 & 002), or combined (501) at the professional level
- Essay
- 300 words
- Explain why you want to pursue an add-on in Elementary Education (ECE)
- Reference/Recommendation (Digital)
- Official college transcripts (ALL colleges attended)
- Transcript(s) must list the degree awarded and the date the degree was conferred.

- Application fees are paid online with credit card.

Tuition Costs
Cost: $4500.00
- 9 monthly payments of $500.00 beginning 9/1/23
Additional Mentor Fee:
One Year Program Mentor Fee: $500.00
It is the candidate's responsibility to pay Metro RESA the mentor fee.
- Candidates may also make arrangements with their school system to pay the mentor fee in systems where this is an option.
- Mentor fees are due to Metro RESA by May 15th of each year.
Fees are evaluated annually and subject to change.
