Dr. Biwott, an educator of 24 years who holds a doctorate in school improvement with a science and technology content specialty, is passionate about integrated and inclusive learning. She currently serves as the Metro RESA K-5 Science Endorsement Coordinator and the K-12 Science Instructional Supervisor at Metro RESA where she facilitates onsite and job-embedded professional learning for Science and STEAM educators. She was formerly a science professional learning specialist in Marietta City Schools where she supported K-12 science teachers’ professional development through a variety of IB, Science, STEM, GSE, and assessment trainings, as well as PLC work, coaching, assessment development, curriculum writing, and teaching science endorsement courses. Before that, she was a middle and high school science teacher, as well as a university science instructor for undergraduate level pre-service elementary teachers and graduate level in-service secondary science teachers. She has served on the GSE Anatomy standards writing team, multiple GaDOE assessment writing teams, and as a GaDOE Science Advisory Council member. She is also a member of the Georgia Science Supervisors and Georgia Science Teachers Association groups.
